SeptemberMorn:  There seems to be a small change in my husband for which I’m very thankful for.  Pray that it continues to get better.

Prayer Requests

April 30th, 2008

These are taken directly from the two sessions that we’ve had:

eskielover: about my husband.  He has been living his life totally inside of himself & needs to come to terms with allowing the Spirit into his life.

 recluse1: i would like for you to pray for my family and I.  We are in the midst of a great struggle spiritually and financially.  please pray for us to find the answers we seek.  (Continued request)

SeptemberMorn: Sky and I got into it pretty heavy when she came back from vacation to the point that I had to put her on ignore.  She’s off ignore now but we’re still not communicating.  Pray that we can heal the present rift.

darco: my reguest is that you pray for all those that by accident stumble on Gods word and that it touch even a small part so that they could find the courage to come back and glorify His name.

eskielover: for guidance in what to do since refi fell through. with going through with the divorce & all

also ask that God touch and bless each person that was here, he knows all our needs.

SweetSunshine: Just that hubby’s work figures something out to get back to work or he finds another job soon. Benefits run out Wednesday.  And that my new endeavor of losing weight is a success.

Sitting at the Feet of Jesus

April 30th, 2008

This is the song that gave me the idea for the group and this blog.

Sitting at the Feet of Jesus

Sitting At the Feet of Jesus

Sitting at the feet of Jesus,
Oh, what words I hear Him say!
Happy place! so near, so precious!
May it find me there each day;
Sitting at the feet of Jesus,
I would look upon the past;
For His love has been so gracious,
It has won my heart at last.
Sitting at the feet of Jesus,
Where can mortal be more blest?
There I lay my sins and sorrows,
And, when weary, find sweet rest;
Sitting at the feet of Jesus,
There I love to weep and pray;
While I from His fullness gather
Grace and comfort every day.
Bless me, O my Savior, bless me,
As *I sit low at Thy feet;
Oh, look down in love upon me,
Let me see Thy face so sweet;
Give me, Lord, the mind of Jesus,
Keep me holy as He is;
May I prove I’ve been with Jesus,
Who is all my righteousness.

Bible Word Game

April 30th, 2008

You might call this a word association game, but for starters, I’ll give you two examples.  I’ll give you a word and for each letter, I’ll write down what that letter makes me think of, as long as it stays to our faith.

Jesus:

J - justified

E - eternity

S- saved

U - united

S - sanctified

Another one:

Spirit:

S - Simon

P - Peter

I - Isaiah

R - ransomed

T - trinity

 Got it?  Then go for it!  :)

Fruit of the Spirit - Bible Study

April 30th, 2008

We’ve had our second study and I’m happy to report that we even had three new people attend.

For those that don’t know, Debbie/Eskielover is giving the study.  We meet on Monday evenings in a private chat room on PsychCentral at 6 pm PDST, 7 pm MDST, 8 pm CDST and 9 pm EDST.  You won’t see the room listed on the chat index.  You’ll have to go into one of the chat rooms and click on Rooms to see it.  The name of the chat room is At Jesus’ Feet, the same as this blog.

 It is NOT password protected but anyone disturbing or challenging any of the group will be warned once and then kicked.  This is all withing the guidelines that Doc John has posted for any private chat room.  A copy of the disturbance will be sent to Admin immediately.

 All are welcome and will be received in the name of Jesus with love, acceptance and respect.  We do not push our beliefs on anyone.  They are there for the taking.  If you find that you don’t want to partake, you can leave peacefully and no judgment will be cast upon you.    :)

WELCOME

April 29th, 2008

Exciting!!  This is my first blog and I’m surprised at myself.  Never thought I wanted to share much about myself other than what I share on PsychCentral.

Some things have changed there and I find I can’t share all of myself.  However, we were given this option of blogging and I’m sure going to take advantage of it.  Never look a gift horse in the mouth!

Ok, first cliche.  LOL  I’m the Queen of Cliche and Quotes.  I quote a lot.  Also, I relate quite heavily with music and you’ll find me quoting from songs quite a bit.

Some other empirical data; I’m almost 65 yrs old, married (20 years on, 7 off and back together again for a total of 32 yrs.) with four wonderful children and nine grandchildren, seven boys and two girls.

Only two of my boys have stayed local.  The oldest son has his own nationwide business.  He’s married and has two boys.

The baby is country all the way.   He lives on a ranch that houses all kinds of animals, including wild animals for the movies.  He has a fair collection of farm animals, himself.  He also is married and has three children; one girl and two boys.

The third boy lives in Oregon and is raising his boy and girl by himself.  He’d doing a wonderful job of it if I do say so myself.

My daughter, the oldest, lives in Northern California, married with two boys, also and is a teacher.
